

I believe there is a bit of a problem with these pumps. If I flushed through with Redex or something might this clear the pump, or is it a case of pump off and replace/refurbish. If the fuel is contaminated would this prevent the car from starting. I have just changed the fuel filter prior to diving in to a strip down, and found a load of c**p in it, it was due to be changed anyway. Its looking like its going to be a problem with the pump. Engine turns over, seems if it is trying to fire on initial cranking but fails to fire up and run. Was running fine in the morning, went to start at teatime and it won't start.

the car has been running fine with no noticible problems, always starting first time even from cold.
